The Chillicothe Gazette featured a lengthy story and photo today on the Love Makes a Family exhibit at the Pump House Gallery:
"Chillicothe does have a big gay community for its size. It's not well-organized, but there are gay families living here," Johnson said. "It helps people see this community in a positive light."
The show will be on display through today in Chillicothe before it moves on to its final stop in Granville. Organizers with Equality Ohio wanted to bring the exhibit to smaller Ohio cities.
"There are LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) families in every single Ohio county, not just the big cities," said Andrea Wood, of Equality Ohio. "And this exhibit can help start the discussion about those families and what it means to be a gay person in Ohio."
